Into the all important finals of the tournament played at Box Play Sports Arena in Ghatkopar, the two best performing teams namely Hunter and Rhinos pitted against each other for the coveted ECU Trophy. Hunters batting first posted a massive total on board notching up 92/4 in 7 overs which is anyday a good total to defend. The openers A.J (20 off 16 balls) and Vikram (20 off 10 balls) gave a brilliant start to the innings as both the players scored quickfire 20’s to perfectly set the stage.
Rhinos on the other hand could only manage 27/5 in their stipulated 7 overs courtesy some brilliant bowling by the Hunters Team. Hunter bowlers did not allow the batters to open up and score freely putting pressure from the very beginning winning the finals by a massive big margin of 65 runs.
With this win, Hunters also emerged as the Champions of the ECU Mumbai Cricket League’22. Rhinos ended up as the Runners up to the tournament while Tigers ended at third place. Also the man of the series went to Chandrakant Murake from Tigers Team. Chandrakant from Tigers had scored a brilliant 48 off just 21 balls which had helped his team win by 17 runs.
