NSCI after being put to bat first at Vengsarkar Cricket Ground in Mahul made a moderate total of 123/10 in 19.2 overs with Ankur Agarwal (27 runs), Shaival Sheth (21 runs) and Jairaj Thakkar (26 runs) chipping in with 20’s. Gaurav Lolge was impressive with the ball as he came up with best bowling figures of 4/9 in 3.2 overs denting the middle and lower order of NSCI.
Defending a below par total, the pressure was certainly more on NSCI but their bowlers did an excellent job of restricting DBCC to 87 runs all out in mere 15 overs. The bowling unit of NSCI put up a collective performance with Kalpesh, Hamir and Shaival bagging 2wkts each while Ankit Zaveri being the pick of the lot taking 3/26 in 4 overs including wicket of opener Viraj who scored 27 runs.
