ACE Cricket Club opting to bat first at Vengsarkar Cricket Ground in Mahul made a total of 133/8 in 20 overs. The openers gave a decent start but it was Niket Korgaonkar at no.3 who played a very useful innings of 44 runs in mere 25 balls smashing 5 fours and 2 sixes. The rest of the batters chipped in with cameos as ACE CC had a target of 133 on board by the end of 20 overs. From the bowlers, Vijay Barot with 4/18 was the pick of the lot.
Goldenwings CC which is one of the experienced sides with a lot of experience of playing on this ground received a tough fight from ACE CC bowlers as they were cleaned up for just 49 runs in 14.2 overs with only their opener Harman Raja (11 runs) managing to score in double digits. ACE CC’s new find, Aryan Sharma was brilliant with the ball as he came up with stunning bowling figures of 4/8 in 3.2 overs which included 17 dot balls!
Apart from Aryan, the experienced Rohit Kharb and Ayush Joshi bagged 2wkts a piece as ACE CC won the match by 84 runs. Aryan Sharma for his 4wkt haul was declared ‘man of the match”
