Bombay Vikings opting to bat first at Western Railway Ground in Lower Parel, Mumbai were all out for 89 runs in 19.2 overs. Most of the players found it difficult to convert their starts quite evident from the fact that none of the batters could cross 20+ runs individually in their innings. It was a tight bowling performance from Bombay Knight Riders bowlers with Vivek Kathariya leading from the front taking 4/12 in 4 overs including 16 dot balls. It was certainly an impressive spell which kept the opposition team in leash. Nishant Bagwe with 3/6 was the 2nd best of the lot.
Bombay Knight Riders in reply chased down the score successfully crossing the victory line in the 13th over. Kunal Sabnis (24 off 19 balls) and Ritesh Shetty (26 off 31 balls) at the top of the order provided crucial cameos while Baldev (13* off 7 balls) played the finishers role for his team.
