What an electrifying opening ceremony we witnessed for RRC SPL Season 3

The atmosphere was lit & energy was all around. The much awaited moment finally arrived with all our community brothers coming under one platform to play the favorite sport of India i.e the Cricket. The opening ceremony was a blockbuster moment for RRC with none other than Cabinet Minister Shri Mangalprabhat Lodha ( Minister of Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.) being the Guest of Honor. Master Neel Shekatkar also graced the event as Special Invitee, Neel is India Book of Records Holder for being the Youngest Swimmer in the World to attempt backstroke.

Match Highlights from Day 1:


Jainex All Stars vs Warriors:

Jainex: 101/3 in 8 overs, Warriors 27/7 in 5.3 overs

From the batters, Suresh Bothra with 29* and Bhavesh Jain with 17 runs were the top scorers while Jignesh Uttamchand & Pankaj Dulchandji bagged 2kwts a piece to outsmart Warriors team winning the match by a big margin of 74 runs.


BOLSTERS vs JMU Invincibles

Bolsters 74/5 in 8 overs, JMU Invicibles 65/5 in 8 overs

An evenly poised match where both the teams gave a healthy fight to each other. Sunny Joshi’s DK Style quick 13* down the order played a crucial role for Bolsters wh.ile it was a collective bowling performance from Bolsters to win the match by 9 runs


Travezy Tigers vs BDM Royals

Travezy Tigers 62/6 in 8 overs, BDM Royals 63/1 in 5.2 overs

It was a complete domination by Travezy Tigers as they won the match in commanding fashion by 9 wkts and almost 3 overs to spare. Rakesh Burad gave a perfect start with 2 sixes while Mahipal Bothra (10* off 13) and Kaushik Sanghvi (19* off 12 balls) finished off things for BDM Royals.


United Challengers vs Romex Smashers

United Challengers 34/7 in 5.3 overs, Romex Smashers 36/3 in 4.1 overs

The MUNOT brothers bagged 2 wkts each along with Kamlesh Mutha who also bagged 2 wkts. Chasing 35 looked like a mere formality as Romex won the match by 4 overs and 7 wkts in hand.


CM Stars vs Reliable Knights

CM Stars 86/3 in 8 overs, Reliable Knights 38/7 in 8 overs

CM Stars openers Shreyansh Doshi and Bhavya Shah gave flying start to the innings as they scored 22 and 21 runs respectively. From the CM bowlers, Bharat Doshi with 2/9 was the pick of the lot as CM Stars won the match by 48 runs.


Romex Smashers vs Reliable Knights

Romex Smashers 61/6 in 8 overs, Reliable Knights 51/7 in 8 overs

Bhupesh Munot top scored with 21 runs off 18 balls while Nilesh Jain at the middle order also chipped in with 2 crucial sixes. Reliable Knights in reply were all out for 51/7 with Priyesh Metha taking 2 wkts for 7 runs in 1 over. Romex Smashers won the match by 10 runs.


United Challengers vs CM Stars

United Challengers 41/7 in 7.5 overs, CM Stars 35/7 in 8 overs

For United Challengers, Kushal Mehta and Lalit Jain came up with crucial bowling spells taking 2 wkts each. Kushal grabbed 2 wkts conceding only 2runs while Lalit bagged 2 wkts in3 balls without conceding any runs as they won the match by 7 runs.


Jainex All Stars vs B United

Jainex 81/5 in 8 overs, B United 63/6 in 7.5 overs

For Jainex, Jignesh Uttamchand was the top scorer with 20* off 12 balls pushing his team towards an 80+ total on board. From the bowlers, Girish Jain with 2/2 in 1 over was the pick of the lot as Jainex won the match by 8 runs.


Bolsters vs BDM Royals

Bolsters 46/7 in 8 overs, BDM Royals 47/6 in 6.1 overs

It was a collective bowling performance from BDM Royals bowlers with almost every bowler chipping in with a wicket. With the bat, Kaushik Sanghvi with 13 runs played a handy role in his team’s win as BDM Royals won by 4 wkts and 2 overs to spare.

Radiant United vs Bolsters

Radiant United 23/7 in 6.5 overs, Warriors 24/2 in 3 overs

The bowlers made it easier for warriors as each of the 7 bowlers came up with a wicket each in their allotted over not allowing the opposition to settle down easily. Meet Shah later finished off things with the bat scoring 17* off 10 balls as Warriors won by 7 wkts and 5 overs to spare.


Travezy Tigers vs JMU Invincibles

Travezy 59/7 in 8 overs, JMU Invincibles 57/6 in 8 overs

Travezy openers Jenil Shah (18 off 16) and Shrenik Doshi (16 off 13) provided brilliant start ensuring their team reach a respectable total.  JMU Invincibles in reply almost pulled it off giving a tough fight but falling short of just 2 runs in the penultimate over.


Radiant United vs B United

Radiant 27/7 in 5.5 overs, B United 28/1 in 3.2 overs

From B United, Pritesh Mehta bagged 2 wkts in 5 balls while Pinal Bokadia with 1 four and 1 six gave a perfect start with the bat. B United won the match in the most comfortable fashion by 9 wkts and almost 5 overs to spare.
