Quantei Titans Cricket Club based in Mumbai were off to a 2 Day Tour to Surat where in two 40 overs matches were scheduled, one each vs Surat District Cricket Association and one vs Doctors XI.
MATCH 1 – Quantei Titans vs Surat District Cricket Association
In the match played on Saturday between Quantei Titans vs Surat District Cricket Association at NK Cricket Ground in Surat, Quantei Titans opting to bat first posted a massive total of 313/10 in 40 overs. Openers Vishal Shah (25 off 17) and Mukund Jalan (46 off 53) set a perfect platform giving a solid opening start while Umesh Mehra who came at no.4 continued the positive momentum as he top scoring in the match with an impressive knock of 79 runs off just 62 balls, a knock which consisted 7 fours and 5 sixes at a healthy strike rate of 127.52. Apart from him, Punit at the lower order made a handy contribution chipping in with a quick 40 off 22 balls alongwith Ashish Shetty who scored 25 off 26 balls. From the opposition bowlers, Raj Vasani was the pick of the lot taking 4/56 in 8 overs.
Chasing 314, the pressure was certainly more on the home team. Quantei bowlers did an amazing job of restricting Surat District Cricket Association to just 179 runs all out in 36 overs. It was a combined bowling effort with as many as 10 bowlers being used and 5 bowlers coming up with wickets. Vishal Shah with 3/14 in 6 overs was the pick of the lot while Rajiv Hingoo also bowled well for his spell of 3/35 in 6 overs.
Quantei Titans won the match by 134 runs while Umesh Mehra for his knock of 79 runs was declared man of the match.

MATCH 2 – Quantei Titans vs Doctors XI
In the second match which was played on Sunday at NK Cricket Ground, Quantei Titans after being put to bat first posted a total 210/all out in 40 overs. After a shaky start with some quick wickets lost at the top of the order, Aashish Shetty and Nimish Raut at the lower middle order held fort to stitch a crucial partnership. Aashish top scored in the match with 47 runs while Nimish Raut contributed with 30 runs as both the batters ensured their team reach a respectable total on board. From the bowlers, Aanand Desai and Rajni Timbawala with 3 wkts each were the pick of the lot.
Doctors XI in reply chased down the score successfully courtesy two match winning half centuries by Rajni Timbawala and Mohit Rana. Rajni coming at no.5 scored 56* off 68 balls while all-rounder Mohit top scored with 70* off just 43 balls which included 5 fours and 5 sixes.
Doctors XI won the match by 6 wkts and Mohit Rana who scored 70* was declared Player of the Match.

It was an exciting 2 Day fiesta for Quantei Titans CC which included some great team bonding, exciting individual performances and well fought matches. It was also commendable to see Quantei Players giving in their best despite 2 back to back 40 over matches in 2 days. The tour ended with one win and a loss but more importantly it was a tour where genuine cricket was played by passionate cricket lovers making it a great atmosphere for a perfect cricketing weekend.
