Sapient Leopards after being put to bat first at Western Railways Cricket Ground in Lower Parel made a nice total of 183/3 in 20 overs with opener Prithvi Kothari top scoring in the match with a brilliant 94*. Prithvi, the skipper delivered when his team required the most as he went on a attacking mode from the word go smashing 7 fours and 3 sixes in his 58 ball knock of 94*. The rest of the batters batted around him as they managed to cross the crucial 180+ mark in their 20 overs.
Balasinor Tigers in reply faced a top order collapse but it was their middle and lower order which somehow managed to give a fight. Amit Dassani and Salil Babar Desai top scored with 30’s while Aarish Mansuri (28*) and Devang Sanghvi (29*) at no.9 and 10 also provided crucial cameos. However, those efforts were’nt enough as Sapient Leopards bowlers did an excellent job of restricting the opposition. From the bowlers, Anand Kothari with 3/25 was the pick of the lot.
