Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana after being put to bat first at Jolly Gymkhana’s home ground posted a total of 155/10 in 18.5 overs. Opener Suril Doshi scored 83 off just 36 balls smashing as many 9 sixes but he lacked support from the other end or JVPG could have certainly crossed the 180+ mark in 20 overs. From Jolly Gymkhana bowlers, Brijesh Nagda with 3/20 in 3.5 overs was the pick of the lot.
Jolly Gymkhana in reply chased down the total with complete ease as they won the match by 8 wkts and 6.1 overs to spare. Anand Thakkar who opened the innings gave a match winning performance as he took on the opposition bowlers on will going on to score 101” off 48 balls which included 18 fours and 3 sixes. Anand who batted at a strike rate of 210.42 mostly dealt in boundaries with almost 90% of his runs coming in fours and sixes.
