Radio Club after opting to bat first at Chembur Gymkhana ground did a fairly decent job putting on 194/10 in 19.5 overs. Opener Hemant Makwana top scored for his team scoring 78 off 40 balls wherein he smashed as many as 18 boundaries. From the Chembur Gymkhana bowlers, Prashant Nair with 3/35 and Amit Kapoor with 3/30 were the pick of the lot.
Chembur Gymkhana chasing 195 showed complete dominance on their homeground as they went on to win the match in a commanding fashion by 8 wkts. The openers itself comprising of Gautam Chopra and Vikram V (38 runs) gave a flying start of 77 runs in the powerplay which set the tone for a perfect chase. Gautam Chopra anchored the chase with a stylish 82* off 56 balls smashing 14 boundaries and a six while he was ably supported by no.3 batsman Chetan Shetty who scored 51 off 29 balls.
Result: Chembur Gymkhana won by 8 wkts and 2.2 overs to spare, Gautam Chopra for his match winning 82 was the “performer of the match”
