Bombay Vikings opting to bat first at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy Ground in Mumbai posted a big total of 218/3 in 20 overs. Openers Harnish and Akash Patel gave a flying start putting on 58 runs in the first 6 overs. Opener Akash Patel was the top scorer as he scored 60 off 41 balls which included 8 fours and 1 six at a strike rate of 146.34. Akash retired hurt in the 15th over but by that time the damage was already done!
SPS Superstars in reply could only manage 171/9 in 20 overs as most of their batters found it difficult to get going and convert their starts. Yash Vora with 3/26 in 4 overs and Dhimant Shah with 2/24 in 4 overs bowled exceedingly well from Bombay Vikings being the pick of the lot.
