Electing to bat on a bright sunny afternoon when the wicket was all very well set team Scottish Stars had the worst possible start to their innings. Their openers could only survive 15 balls in the innings as Shiv Prasad was runout in the 3rd over by Dharmesh. Two overs late the opener was also runout by the same fielder leaving the team in trouble. Mayur Gathani was the only batter from team Scottish Star who showed intent in scoring runs. Mayur smashed his was to 22 runs in 10 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixed before he was dismissed by Raviraj Shetty in the 5th over.
After the wicket of Mayur, the Stars couldn’t recover at all as the crossfuse bowlers kept bowling tight lengths and not allowing any free balls to the batters whatsoever. By the end of the innings the Scottish Stars were all out for just a mere 64 in 16 overs. From the bowlers, Jay Pandya was the pick of the lot taking 3/7 in 2 overs. Jay was spot on with the ball providing timely breakthroughs. Apart from Jay, Deepak Shetty also bagged 2 wkts.
With 65 to chase in 20 overs Crossfuse Crushers crossed the victory line with relative ease. From the bowlers, Fahad and Harshad Tawde were the only successful bowlers picking up a wicket each in the 2nd innings. Abhijit Korgaonkar’s knock of 26* runs in 20 balls made sure there were no more hiccups in the chase and they chased down the target in the 11th over and get a dominating win over the Scottish Stars.
