Played at the Picturesque Goregaon Sports Club Ground in Mumbai, Goregaon Sports Club after being put to bat first posted a total of 204/8 in 20 overs. Opener Aniket got things going with his quick 35 off 22 balls while it was Shankar Subramanium who top scored in the match with a gutsy knock of 64 runs. Shankar faced 43 deliveries which included 10 fours and a six at a strike rate of almost 150.00. From the bowlers, Hemant with 3/31 was the pick of the lot.
MCA SRT in reply were cleaned up for 112 runs in 16.4 overs as none of their batters could make a substantial impact. Sameer Kapadia with 3/8 in 2 overs & all-rounder Karansingh Walia with 3/21 in 3.4 overs including a maiden were GSC’s best bowlers.
Result: Goregaon Sports Club won the match by 92 runs, Shankar Subramanium’s 64 was the ‘performance of the match’
