Into the all important finals, Royal Scalpels and Medheads fought their way to the top and it was one final encounter which would decide the outcome on who would lift the HFH Trophy!
Royal Scalpels after being put to bat first at St.Andrews Turf in Bandra made a healthy total of 63/5 in 9 overs. Even though not an imposing one, but anything above 60 on this ground does make for an exciting chase! Despite some quick top order wickets, it was Varun at no.5 who turned things around with a crucial 30 off 21 balls. Apart from Varun, Karan (16 runs) and Kishor (10 runs) also chipped in with crucial cameos.
Chasing 64, Medheads received some brilliant fightback from the Royal Scalpel bowlers as they restricted Medheads to just 51/8 all out in 8.5 overs. Even though opener Dr.MT Khan gave a good start with 23 runs but rest of the batters found it difficult to get going. The bowlers were bang on, especially Peter & Kshitij who bagged 3 wkts each as Royal Scalpels won the finals by 12 runs.
