ACE Cricket Club after being put to bat first at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy Ground in Mahul were cleaned up for 114 runs in 19 overs with Niket Korgaonkar being the top scorer with 28 runs at the middle order. NSCI’s decision to bowl first proved to be bang on as they managed to restrict the opposition to a below par total. From the bowlers, Aditya Somani and Sunik Tanwani bowled brilliant spells bagging 3wkts each to dismantle ACE’s batting line up.
NSCI in reply chased down the score in 16.4 overs winning the match by 4 wkts. NSCI did face some early hiccups with top order players getting dismissed early but Karan Chugh (35 runs) at no.4 and Aditya Singh at no.7 rescued their team with a match winning partnership. Aditya in particular changed the momentum back onto his team’s favor as he scored a quick 42* off 28 balls (6 fours, 1 six) ensuring not to take the game till the very end.
