Jaguars of Triumph Knights opting to bat first at Western Railway Cricket Ground in Mumbai made a healthy total on board putting up 199/5 in 20 overs. Openers Prithvi Kothari and Bhavik Shah dominated the bowlers as they put on a record opening partnership of 168 runs in 15.4 overs. Prithvi scored a quick blazing 80 off 50 balls while Bhavik Shah played an equally amazing innings of 81 runs in 50 balls as both the openers toyed the bowling attack of Cheetah Mumbai Stars. In their 15.4 overs stay at the crease, both the batters smashed 7 sixes and 17 boundaries combined which made all the impact in the end. From the bowlers, Vivek Shah with 3/29 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.
Cheetahs Mumbai Stars in reply could only manage 165/8 in 20 overs with most of their batters giving starts but not able to convert their 20’s into something substantial. Triumph Knights bowlers were bang on as they bowled right on the money. As many as 9 bowlers chipped in and bowled with Ketan Asher being the pick of the lot taking 2/29 in 4 overs. Prithvi made it an all-round show also chipping in with a wicket.
