Garware Club House after being put to bat first at Cross Maidan could’nt make much of an impact this time around as their top and middle order collapsed with some quick wickets. However, lower order cameos by Parag Kothari (20 runs), Rishin Mehta (38 runs) and Dhruvit Shah (14*) helped them cross the 3 digit mark with their total. It was a disciplined bowling performance by CCI bowlers with Shaleen Toshniwal being the pick of the lot taking 4/10 in 4 overs including a maiden. Apart from Shaleen, Tejas Patani with 3/20 in 4 overs was the 2nd best of the lot.
For CCI, it was a mere cakewalk as they made the chase look super easy considering they chased it down in mere 7.2 overs. Attacking opening batsman Rohan Punjani who is clearly making a name for himself as one explosive batter stayed true to his reputation scoring a brilliant 81* off just 24 balls, an innings which included 8 fours and 7 sixes. Tejas Pattani gave him the support with an unbeaten 29* as CCI won the match by 10 wkts.
Rohan Punjani for his swashbuckling 81 was the “Performer of the Match”
