iLand Tuskers opting to bat first at Elf Cricket Ground in Mumbai could’nt make an imposing total to defend scoring 114/10 in 19.5 overs. Such was the tight bowling performance of the opposition that only two batters managed to score in double digits with opener Chintan Ghelani top scoring with 17 runs off 13 balls and Ankit B at the middle order scoring 16 runs. From the bowlers, Mayur Tare with 3/12 and Nishant Bagwe with 3/24 in 4 overs were the pick of the lot from Bombay Knight Riders team.
Chasing 115 looked like a mere formality for Bombay Knight Riders batters as they took mere 10 overs to seal off the chase. Hunar Matreja opening the innings smashed a brilliant half century scoring 64* off 37 balls (10 fours, 1 six). Hunar was well supported by no.3 batsman Tejas Dubey (37* off 21 balls) as both the batters stitched an unbeaten 109 run stand for the 2nd wicket.
Result: Bombay Knight Riders won by 9 wkts, Hunar Matreja declared “Man of the Match”
