Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana after being put to bat first at PJ Hindu Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai posted a healthy total of 182/6 in 20 overs. Even though JVPG lost their openers early, it was Malhar Mahadeviya and Vishal Patel putting on 84 runs for 3rd wicket and helping their team gain back momentum. Malhar top scored in the match scoring a brilliant half century. Malhar scored 68 off 53 balls smashing 10 fours and a six while Vishal contributed with 41 runs helping their team reach a defendable total.
Malabar Hill Club in reply could only manage 136/9 in 20 overs with only two batters managing to score in double digits. It was a clinical bowling performance from JVPG bowlers with Rohit Saraf, Kamal Punwani and Amar Chopra bagging 2 wkts a piece. Amar was the pick of the lot taking 2/5 in 2 overs as Juhu Vileparle Gymkhana won the match by 46 runs. Malhar with his matured innings of 68 stood out as the performer of the match.
