Cricket Club of India after being put to bat first at Jolly Gymkhana Ground had a batting feast smashing an unbelievable 265/2 in 20 overs. It was a complete entertainment as both the openers put on 124 runs in mere 9.4 overs. Opener Vikram Dayal scored a flashy 86 off 45 balls smashing 13 fours and 3 sixes while his opening partner Bobby Bajaj was equally destructive in his ferocious knock of 66 runs in 31 balls (9 fours and 3 sixes). Himanshu Waigankar (46* off 26 balls) and Shaleen Toshniwal (53* off 19 balls) which included 6 sixes continued the momentum left behind by the openers as they thrashed bowlers in every corner of the ground.
Jolly Gymkhana in reply scored 208/9 in 20 overs on the back of Raj Parikh’s 91 at no.3. Raj scored 91 off 48 balls smashing 10 fours and 5 sixes but lacked support from the other end. Samir Mogul, Zubair and Dharmesh Mehta with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot as CCI won the match by 57 runs.
