Bombay Knight Riders after being put to bat first at the iconic PJ Hindu Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai made a total of 138/9 in 20 overs. Opener Hunar Matreja gave a quick start with his 14 ball 21 while Tejas Dubey top scored in the match scoring 37 off 22 balls. Tejas looked dangerous at one stage smashing 7 boundaries at a healthy strike rate of 168.18 before he got dismissed by Pravesh. From the bowlers, Sanket Arothe with 4/22 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot while Pravesh Gautam and Aman Chandiramani bagged 2 wkts each.
Passionate Stars in reply were cleaned up for 101 runs in 18.3 overs courtesy a disciplined bowling performance by Bombay Knight Riders bowlers. Passionate Stars batters gave starts but none could convert it into a 40-50-+ individual score which made the difference in the end. From the bowlers, Arpit Shah with 4/29 in 3.3 overs was excellent taking some crucial wickets at crucial junctures. Arpit was spot on with his job while Vivek Kathariya also bowled well chipping in with 2/10 in 3 overs.
