Played at Western Railway Ground in Lower Parel, Cheetah Mumbai Stars after batting first posted a total of 141/8 in 20 overs. Openers Akhil Chopra and Vinay Sopte gave a decent start putting on 45 runs in the first 5 overs while Niraj Dalal at the middle order top scored with 35 runs off 26 balls. From the bowlers, Samit Shukla, Kamal Motwani and Ayush Harlalka with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot.
Chasing 142, the pressure was certainly on the bowling team as nowadays totals of 130-140’s are easily chased down in T20’s. However, Cheetah Mumbai Stars bowlers backed it up with a commendable bowling performance restricting Balasinor Tigers to 135/9 in 20 overs. Shenil Shah with 4/15 in 4 overs was simply excellent with the ball not only being economical but also providing timely breakthroughs.
