Radio Club opting to bat first at the iconic Brabourne Stadium could’t post an intimidating total on board managing 138/9 in 20 overs. It was almost a top and middle order collapse until some crucial cameos at lower order helped them reach a decent total with 20’s from Neeraj Arora and Hemant Makwana. From the bowlers, it was Arpreet Bajaj all the way leading from the front as he returned with envious bowling figures of 5/32 in 4 overs. Arpreet literally ran through Radio Club’s batting line up providing breakthroughs at regular intervals.
Chasing 139 looked like a mere formality for the formidable CCI as they cleaned up the chase in mere 13.3 overs with 8wkts in hand. Rupen Jhaveri coming at no.3 went all guns blazing scoring a brilliant 91* off mere 42 balls, Rupen smashed 9 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 216.67 while he was well supported by Tej Chawda (28*) with whom he stitched an unbeaten stand of 111 runs.
Result: CCI won by 8 wkts while “Arpreet Bajaj” was the “Player of the Match”
