Played at the iconic Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, CCI after being put to bat first faced no trouble as they amassed a massive total of 303/1 in 45 overs. After a decent start by Akhil and Rudra who put on 63 runs, it was no.3 bat Akash Anand who joined forces with opener Rudra Dhanday both the gun batters stitched a record unbeaten 240* run stand for the 2nd wicket. Aakash Anand scored 114* off 98 balls while Rudra Dhanday who is already in the reckoning at Domestic Level showed his class with a graceful 141* off 138 balls which included 13 boundaries.
Rudra shared with Sportsnext: “The wicket was hard to run as it had long boundaries and there was only 1 new ball so the ball also got soft eventually. Scored almost 65% of runs through running between the wickets but eventually it was a satisfying innings as CCI got the upper hand because of our partnership”
Apollo CC in reply scored 230/6 in 45 overs as CCI won the match by 73 runs.
