Cricket Club of India opting to bat first on their home ground made good use of their home conditions putting on a solid show scoring214/5 in 20 overs. Opener Rohan and Tejas (40 runs) took the game away with their brilliant 124 run opening stand which came in the first 11 overs. Rohan Punjani was the top scorer in the match scoring a fabulous 105 in mere 52 balls entering the elite list of some of the fastest hundreds of MCC Championship. Rohan smacked 14 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 200.00+ which ultimately helped CCI cross the 200 run mark in their 20 overs.
Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana in reply found it difficult to get going managing only 136/4 in 20 overs. JVPG never looked into the game thanks to some tight bowling by the CCI bowlers. From the bowlers, Aman Kothari with 2/29 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot.
