Blitz after being put to bat first at Elf Oval Ground in Mumbai batted really well posting a healthy total of 192/5 in 20 overs. It was a solid top order start by Blitz with opener Ganesh Dal and no.3 batsman Loki Blitzz scoring crucial half centuries as both the players together stitched a 150 run stand for the 2nd wicket. Ganesh scored 52 off just 28 balls smashing 6 fours and 2 sixes while Loki scored 52 off 41 balls smashing 7 boundaries.
Defending a total of 193, Lalwani XI did manage to give a tough fight and at one stage the game looked evenly poised as well with opener Gukul Dharan (77* off 51 balls) and no.3 batsman Raghavan (50 off 41 balls) almost pulling off for their team. However, Blitz bowlers gave a good fightback in the death overs and especially Dev Raghani who bowled a crucial spell of 2/29 in 4 overs. Dev acted like a speedbreaker in Lalwani’s chase as they eventually fell short of 10 runs scoring 182/3 in 20 overs.
Result: Blitz won by 10 runs, Gukul Dharan for his 77* was “Performer of the match”
