Played at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy Ground, Oval Maidan in Mumbai, Crescent Warriors opting to bat first posted a total of 143/10 in 18.3 overs. Opener Himanshu Maggu top scored with 49 runs while rest of the batters found it difficult to get going. The bowlers put up an impressive show especially Meet Shah who was the pick of the lot with envious bowling figures of 3/20 in 4 overs. Meet displayed good composure and kept things tight while Yatin Bhavsar (3/26) and Nimit Mithawala (2/19) also provided crucial contributions with the ball.
The match remained interesting till the very end and it was a well fought competition but eventually Bombay Vikings got the upper hand crossing the victory line in the penultimate 20th over and winning the match by 3 wkts. Opener Akash Patel (41 off 29 balls) and no.3 batsman Kaushal Parikh (34 runs off 35 balls) were the top scorers in the chase ensuring their team gets through successfully!
