CCI after opting to bat first posted a massive total of 202/7 in 20 overs. Opener Bobby gave a quick start with his 21 ball 30 while it was Rupen Jhaveri at no.3 who proved to be a complete game changer. Rupen went on to score one of the fastest MCC tons as he scored a flashy 108 off just 49 balls. Rupen smashed 16 fours and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 220.41 as he single handedly pushed his team’s total to 200+ in 20 overs.
PJ Hindu Gymkhana in reply managed to score 175/10 with most of their batters giving starts but unable to convert it into a match winning innings. Hiral Gandhi at the lower middle order was the top scorer with 19 ball 47 while from the bowlers it was Ambrish Arora who bagged a match winning fifer. Ambrish came up with envious bowling figures of 5/30 in 4 overs as he provided timely breakthroughs to his team.
Result: CCI won by 27 runs, Rupen Jhaveri for his brilliant century was the “Performer of the Match”
