Cricket Club of India Kids Academy after being put to bat first on their homeground made a total of 200/4 in 27 overs. It was a fairly more than decent total on board to defend as their top 5 batters chipped in with starts while openers Sumer Singh (44 off 48 balls) and Satvik Arora (32 off 48 balls) being the top scorers. The openers set the stage with a 117 run opening stand which allowed other batters below them to come in and play their natural game. From the bowlers, Veer Lekhraj with 1/4 and Arjun Solanki with 1/18 were the pick of the lot.
Cathedral and John Cannon School in reply did manage to put on a fight but that was’nt enough as CCI bowlers had the upper hand. A lot of players chipped in with starts but could’nt convert it into big partnerships which ultimately resulted in them falling short of 16 runs scoring 184/8 in 27 overs. CCI bowlers did a commendable job especially Avyaya Arora (3/20 in 4 overs) and Satvik Arora (2/50) being the pick of the lot. Upcoming young player Aryaveer Bairagra even though went wicketless was the most economical of the lot taking 0/20 in 4 overs.
CCI Kids Academy won the match by 18 runs, Satvik Arora was declared “Player of the Match” for his all round performance of 31 runs, 2 wkts and 2 catches.
