After losing the toss team Blitz openers needed to be careful at the start of their innings as it was the very first match of the day which began @9:30 am in the morning. Their openers did exactly what their team would have wanted them to do. Ganesh Dal and Mayur Shah not only played out the powerplay but also kept the runs flowing at a brisk rate. They managed to score a 81 runs partnership between themselves after which both of them fell in the same over which was bowled by Kishan. Though DBCC bowlers didn’t go for too many runs in their innings but it was Kishan who was among the wickets and he finished with figures of 4-0-20-2. The rest Blitz batters could only manage to score a good 20-30s but no one could capitalize on the start given by their openers thus ending on a average score of 152/6.
In reply to a target of 153 runs the DBCC openers would have wanted to capitalize on the powerplay just like their opposition but were unable to replicate the same. Mayur Joshi got a start but couldn’t convert his start into something big and was also struggling to rotate the strike. Some contributions from captain Atul Srivastava and Sanmesh Kalyanpurkar weren’t enough to get their team over the line with their scores being 25 and 30 respectively. Just when DBCC would have wanted their lower middle order to have big hits the middle, Yogesh Raghani had different ideas all together. Yogesh damaged DBCC’s middle order by picking up 3 wickets for 10 runs in 2 overs and also securing a comfortable win over the opponents as DBCC were all out for 134 runs in 18.2 overs.
