The All Important finals was played on 16th of October, 2022 at Astro Turf where in two of the most competitive teams who fought their way to the finals took on each other for the coveted SPL Trophy. B United after being put to bat first posted a healthy total of 92/5 in 8 overs. Vikas Mehta (11* off 15 balls), Pritesh Mehta (18 off 15 balls) and Vikas Shah (17 off 6 balls) contributed with crucial cameos especially the 4 sixes smashed in the death overs by Vikash and Pritesh. From the bowlers, Jinesh with 1/6 in 1 overs was the pick of the lot.
Radiant United in reply gave a tough fight but eventually fell short of 8 runs in the penultimate over. Bhavin Jain almost took the game away with a blinder of a knock scoring 31* off 18 balls being the top scorer in the match. Vicky Bhansali with 2/5 in 1 over was brilliant with the ball as B United won the finals by 8 runs.
Vikas Shah for his quickfire cameo was declared ‘man of the match’
Tanick Sanghvi who scored 225 runs which included 26 sixes in the tournament at a healthy average of 20.45 and strike rate of 147.06 was declared the Best Batsman of the Tournament. From the bowlers, Girish Jain who bagged 12 wkts in 10 matches in mere 6.4 overs at an astounding economy of 5.40 was declared the Best Bowler of the Tournament.
