Anuj Khambati’s tight spell helps Great White Sharks win in Ashapura MHCCL’22

Great White Sharks opting to bat first at Vengsarkar Cricket Academy Ground posted a healthy total of 185/5 in 20 overs. Even though none of their batters scored 50+ individual score but they had almost everyone chipping in with starts and cameos. Opener Mihir Varma scored 34 off 24 balls while Rishabh Shah at the middle order was the 2nd highest scorer with 30* off 19 balls. From the bowlers, Samir Iqbal and Vishal Shah bagged 2 wkts each.

Asego Archers in reply managed to give a fight but ended up scoring 169/6 in their quota of 20 overs.  Despite a brilliant start by their openers Saumik and Sandeep who put on 81 runs in the first 9 overs, the batters below them could’nt capitalize.  Great White Sharks bowlers came back into the match keeping it tight especially Anuj Khambati who took 3/29 in 4 overs. Anuj provided timely breakthroughs denting the chase of Asego Archers.

Result: Great White Sharks won by 16 runs, Anuj Khambati declared MHCCL Top Performer of the match
