Kamal Motwani’s 4-fer steers Dynamic Pumas to their debut win in the GSL Circuit

Dynamic Pumas, a new franchise team making its debut in season 2 of GCH Cricket Super League Season 2 starts on a positive note registering their first win in the GSL circuit in the very first match they played in the tournament.

Jaguars of Triumph Knights after being put to bat first at Western Railways Cricket Ground in Lower Parel made a total of 151/9 in 20 overs with opener Bhavik Shah top scoring smashing 57 runs off 43 balls which included 7 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 152.49. From the bowlers, Kamal Motwani was the pick of the lot taking 4/22 in 4 overs. Kamal was bang on providing timely breakthroughs and not allowing the opposition batters to let loose. Apart from him, Digant Mehta with 2/25 in 4 overs also bowled well.

Chasing 152, Dynamic Pumas were off to a flying start putting on 45 runs in the powerplay courtesy their experienced openers Dilip Agarwal (21 off 15 balls) and Shainil Shah (26 off 22 balls) as both the players set the tone for the chase. The middle order players further came in and chipped in with cameos with Rishin Mehta being the top scorer with 28 runs off 31 balls.

It was a very close match which remained exciting till the very end but ultimately Dynamic Pumas crossed the victory line in the 3rd last ball of the match with one wicket in hand. Kamal Motwani for his brilliant spell was declared ‘Man of the Match”
