The first round of Auctions was conducted in much fanfare at Earth Square Banquet in Worli where in all the team owners and icon players gathered at the event for the much awaited auctions. SPL Season 3 has been divided amongst 12 teams which will have 12 icon players and 12 team owners. The auctions were conducted in proper IPL Style Bidding Format.
The latest edition of SPL is sponsored Nakoda Heights/Mehta Developers and is co-sponsored by Navbharat Tubes, Travel Partner –O2 Leisure Holiday LLP by Mohit Jain and Golden Moments powered by MRA Financial Advisory Ltd.
From the Icon Biddings, Bhupesh Munot(1,85,000), Ankit Sanghvi (1,21,000) and Kalpesh Munot (1,18,000) received the highest bids while from the owners Tanick Sanghvi (1,09,000), Mitesh Shah (62,000) and Mehul Mehta (47,000) bagged the highest bids.
