ARJ Royals opting to bat first at the picturesque Police Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai could’nt make much of an impact posting a total of 135/10 in 20 overs. With most of the batters giving starts, they required someone who could convert their starts into a substantial big score. It was a standout bowling performance from the bowlers and especially Udit Z who delivered in the all important finals. Udit returned with excellent bowling figures of 6/27 in 4 overs, a spell which included 14 dot balls and some crucial top order wickets to keep the opposition under leash.
Kavir Kings chasing 136 did lose some quick wickets with openers falling early but got back into the game in no time thanks to a crucial half century by Kaushabh K who scored 69* off 49 balls at no.3. Kaushabh anchored the chase and kept the scoreboard ticking while he was well supported by Dhruv and Bhavik who chipped in with 20’s and batted around Kaushabh.
Kavir Kings comfortably chased down the score in the 18th over winning the match by 6 wkts while it was Kaushabh and Udit who emerged as standout performers in the match to help their team Kavir Kings become the Champions of Surat Premier League.
